Leffe is a historic Belgian abbey beer brand that traces its heritage back to 1240 at the Notre-Dame de Leffe abbey in Dinant, Belgium. Although the brewing process moved away from the abbey after the French Revolution, the brand maintained its connection to the traditional recipes under a commercial licensing agreement established in 1952.
Today, the brand is owned by Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev), the world's largest brewing company. While it remains a quintessentially Belgian brand, manufacturing occurs primarily at the Stella Artois brewery in Leuven, Belgium, and occasionally in other international facilities to meet global demand for its non-alcoholic variants like the Blonde 0.0%.
