Teufel Audio is a prominent German manufacturer of audio products, including loudspeakers, headphones, and home cinema systems. Founded in Berlin in 1979 by Peter Tschimmel, the company initially gained popularity through its DIY speaker kits before transitioning to fully assembled systems. Teufel is known for its direct-to-consumer sales model, which allows it to offer high-quality audio equipment at competitive prices.

While the brand's heart remains in Berlin, where all research, engineering, and product design take place, the actual manufacturing of electronic components and peripherals, such as the remote control pictured, is primarily outsourced to specialized production facilities in Asia, particularly China.

Ownership of the brand has changed hands over the decades to support international expansion. Since 2018, Lautsprecher Teufel GmbH has been owned by the French private equity firm Ardian. Despite this international ownership, the company maintains its headquarters and core identity in Berlin, Germany.
