Indulona is an iconic skincare brand with a rich history rooted in Central Europe. Originally developed in the 1940s in Czechoslovakia at the Hlohovec pharmaceutical plant, the product was initially designed to provide protection and healing for industrial and agricultural workers dealing with harsh substances. Its name is derived from the word 'industrialization', reflecting its origins as a heavy-duty skin barrier cream.

Over the decades, Indulona evolved from a specialized industrial product into a household staple across Slovakia and the Czech Republic, renowned for its simple but effective formula. The brand is particularly famous for its 'blue' original version, which contains a high concentration of liquid paraffin and petrolatum to repair dry and cracked skin.

In 2018, the brand underwent a significant ownership change when it was acquired by Sarantis Group, a major European consumer products company. Today, production continues in Slovakia, maintaining the brand's heritage while benefiting from the distribution network of its Greek parent company. The product remains a cultural icon in its home markets, often cited as a dermatologist-recommended solution for intensive skin care.
