Angas Park is a heritage Australian brand with a legacy dating back to its establishment in 1911 in South Australia's Barossa Valley. Originally known for its focus on local Australian-grown fruit, the brand has evolved over a century to become one of the country's most prominent names in the dried fruit sector. While it has deep roots in Australian agriculture, the modern product line includes fruit sourced both from domestic growers and international suppliers to ensure year-round availability and consistent quality.
In terms of ownership, the brand's journey reflects the broader globalization of the food industry. In 2004, Angas Park was acquired by Sunbeam Foods, another major Australian dried fruit player. Later, in 2011, a significant shift occurred when the Bright Food Group, a large state-owned multinational headquartered in Shanghai, China, acquired a 75% controlling stake in Manassen Food Group, the parent company of both Angas Park and Sunbeam. Today, Angas Park operates as part of the Manassen Foods portfolio under the ultimate ownership of the Bright Food Group, managed by the Shanghai Municipal People's Government.
