Café Dromedario coffee

Café Dromedario is one of Spain's most historic and prestigious coffee roasters. Founded in 1871 by Antonio Fernández in Santander, Cantabria, the brand began with the first industrial coffee roaster in the region. The name 'Dromedario' pays homage to the exoticism associated with the distant lands where coffee beans are sourced. Over more than 150 years, it has grown from a local favorite to a nationally recognized premium brand known for high-quality espresso blends and artisanal roasting techniques.

Today, the brand remains deeply rooted in its origin city of Santander, where its modern roasting facilities are located. While it sources high-quality beans from global origins like Ethiopia, Brazil, and Colombia, all roasting, blending, and packaging take place in Spain. It is currently owned by the Grupo Dromedario, which also manages other regional Spanish coffee brands, ensuring it maintains its traditional identity while operating as a major player in the Horeca (Hotel, Restaurant, and Café) sector across the Iberian Peninsula.
