The water is sourced and bottled at high altitudes (approximately 1,200 meters) in the Serra da Estrela mountain range, specifically at 'Cabaça do Velho' in Seia, ensuring its purity and low mineralization. This specific source is recognized by the state as a protected mineral water resource.

The brand was originally established in the mid-1990s and has grown to become a household name in Portugal. It is currently owned by Sumol+Compal, the largest non-alcoholic beverage company in Portugal. The manufacturing process takes place entirely within Portugal at the Source in Seia, reflecting its strong local heritage and commitment to environmental preservation within the Natural Park region.
