Devondale is one of Australia’s most iconic dairy brands, widely recognized for its range of milk, butter, and cheese products. The brand was originally established by the Murray Goulburn Co-operative Co. Limited, an Australian farming cooperative that played a significant role in the nation’s agricultural history for several decades.
Devondale products are primarily manufactured in Australia, utilizing milk sourced from Australian dairy farms. The brand has built its reputation on local production, ensuring that its products maintain high standards of freshness and quality while supporting the local dairy industry.
In 2018, the ownership of Devondale underwent a major shift when the Canadian dairy giant Saputo Inc. acquired the operating assets of Murray Goulburn. Today, Saputo Dairy Australia manages the brand locally. Saputo is one of the top ten dairy processors in the world, headquartered in Montreal, Canada, and continues to invest in Australian manufacturing facilities to produce the Devondale range for domestic and international markets.
