In India, the brand underwent significant ownership changes. It was owned by GlaxoSmithKline for many years before being sold to Heinz (now Kraft Heinz) in 1994. In a major strategic shift in 2018, Zydus Wellness, an Indian consumer healthcare company, acquired Complan along with other brands from Kraft Heinz.
