Centrum is a globally recognized brand of multivitamins that has evolved through several major corporate transitions. Originally developed by Lederle Laboratories, a subsidiary of American Cyanamid, it was first launched in the late 1970s. The brand has since built a reputation for providing a wide range of essential vitamins and minerals tailored to different age groups and lifestyles.
Over the years, the brand passed from American Cyanamid to American Home Products (later Wyeth), and then to Pfizer following its acquisition of Wyeth in 2009. In recent years, a significant shift occurred when GlaxoSmithKline (GSK) and Pfizer merged their consumer healthcare businesses. This joint venture was eventually spun off into an independent company known as Haleon in 2022.
Today, Haleon is the ultimate owner of Centrum, headquartered in Weybridge, United Kingdom. While the brand is British-owned, manufacturing takes place in multiple locations globally, including the United States, Europe, and Asia, to serve its vast international market. The product shown reflects the brand's long-standing visual identity in the consumer health space.
