Pulmoll is a well-known brand of throat lozenges and pastilles, originally founded in France in 1946 by pharmacist Jacques Lafarge. The brand became famous for its distinctive small round metal tins, which remain a signature feature today. In the early 2000s, the brand's production and ownership transitioned to Germany.
Currently, Pulmoll is produced by Kalfany Süße Werbung GmbH & Co. KG, based in Herbolzheim, Germany. Kalfany is one of the largest manufacturers of canned candies in Europe and has modernized the brand with sugar-free versions sweetened with Stevia. The ultimate owner of the brand is the Zertus Group, a long-standing food group headquartered in Hamburg, Germany, which specializes in niche confectionery and health products. The Extra Strong variant shown follows the brand's tradition of using menthol and Vitamin C for throat soothing.
