Pacífico Clara, more commonly known as Pacifico, is a renowned Mexican pilsner-style lager. It was first brewed in 1900 in the port city of Mazatlán, Mexico, by German settlers who founded the Cervecería del Pacífico. The brand is deeply associated with coastal culture and is recognizable by its bright yellow packaging and lifesaver icon.
Historically, the brand was a staple of the Grupo Modelo portfolio. In 2013, Anheuser-Busch InBev (AB InBev) acquired Grupo Modelo. However, due to US antitrust regulations, the exclusive rights to import, market, and sell Pacífico (along with Corona and Modelo) within the United States were sold to Constellation Brands. Consequently, outside the United States, the brand is owned by AB InBev, while within the US market, it is managed by Constellation Brands. The beer shown in the image continues to be brewed in Mexico to maintain its traditional taste and heritage.
