Avon is one of the world's most recognizable names in beauty, established in 1886 in the United States by David H. McConnell. Originally named the California Perfume Company, it became famous for its direct-selling model, empowering women through entrepreneurship.
Today, the brand's manufacturing occurs across various global locations to serve different markets, including facilities in Brazil, Mexico, Poland, and previously the United States and the UK. In early 2020, Avon Products, Inc. was acquired by the Brazilian beauty conglomerate Natura & Co, uniting it with brands like Natura and The Body Shop (the latter was later sold).
In 2024, Avon Products, Inc. (the non-U.S. business holding company) initiated financial restructuring. It remains a cornerstone of the global beauty industry, headquartered in London under the ultimate ownership of the Brazilian-based Natura & Co, maintaining its status as a leader in direct-to-consumer personal care.
