Keurig Brewing System

Keurig is a leader in single-serve coffee brewing technology, known for its revolutionary K-Cup system. The brand was founded in the early 1990s in the United States, aiming to provide a fresh cup of coffee at the touch of a button, originally targeting office environments before expanding into homes.

Today, Keurig is part of Keurig Dr Pepper, a major beverage conglomerate formed through the merger of Keurig Green Mountain and Dr Pepper Snapple Group. While the brand is headquartered in the United States, manufacturing is decentralized, with machines typically produced in various Asian countries like China and Malaysia, while the coffee pods are manufactured in numerous facilities across North America.

The system's ownership has evolved significantly since its inception, moving from an independent startup to being acquired by Green Mountain Coffee Roasters, and then being taken private by JAB Holding Company before the final merger that created the current public entity, Keurig Dr Pepper.
