The Kia EV9 is a fully electric mid-size crossover SUV manufactured by South Korean automaker Kia. Since its introduction, it has become a flagship for the brand's 'Opposites United' design philosophy and its transition towards sustainable mobility.

While Kia operates assembly plants globally, the EV9 is primarily manufactured in Kia's Gwangmyeong plant (known as the AutoLand Gwangmyeong) in South Korea. Production plans have also expanded to include facilities in West Point, Georgia (USA) to serve regional markets. Ownership of the brand lies with the Hyundai Motor Group, a massive conglomerate headquartered in Seoul, South Korea.

Kia was originally founded as Kyungsung Precision Industry in 1944. Following its acquisition by Hyundai in 1998, it has evolved into a major global competitor, sharing platforms and technologies with Hyundai and Genesis while maintaining its own distinct brand identity and distribution networks world-wide.
