Genesis Motors Luxury Vehicle

Genesis is the luxury vehicle division of the South Korean vehicle manufacturer Hyundai Motor Group. Initially envisioned as a high-end sedan model within the Hyundai lineup in 2004, the brand was officially launched as a standalone luxury marque in November 2015 to compete with established premium automotive brands worldwide.

The majority of Genesis production takes place at the world's largest integrated automobile manufacturing facility in Ulsan, South Korea. However, to better serve global markets and navigate logistics, production has expanded internationally. For instance, certain models like the GV70 are manufactured at the Hyundai Motor Manufacturing Alabama (HMMA) plant in the United States.

As a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hyundai Motor Group, Genesis benefits from the massive R&D and engineering resources of its parent company. The brand is managed as a distinct entity with its own design philosophy and leadership, maintaining a focus on 'Athletic Elegance' to differentiate itself in the competitive luxury segment.
