Bepanthen is a globally recognised brand specialising in skin care solutions, most notably its nappy care ointment and wound healing creams. The brand was originally created by Roche, a Swiss pharmaceutical giant, in 1944. Its formula, centred around the active ingredient Pro-vitamin B5 (dexpanthenol), was revolutionary for its ability to support natural skin recovery and protection.

In 2004, the brand was acquired by Bayer AG as part of its strategic purchase of Roche’s consumer health business. Today, Bepanthen is managed under the Bayer Consumer Health division.
