In 2021, the Kraft Heinz Company announced the acquisition of Hemmer, integrating it into their global portfolio to expand their presence in the Brazilian market. While the brand is now owned by an American multinational, production remains concentrated in Brazil, particularly at its historical industrial sites in Santa Catarina, maintaining the local heritage and flavor profile that consumers recognize.
