Duralex is an iconic French brand established in 1945 in La Chapelle-Saint-Mesmin. The brand is a symbol of French utilitarian design, famously used in schools and cafes for generations.

While the company faced financial challenges in the 21st century and was briefly owned by Pyrex’s parent company (International Cookware), it underwent a significant transition in 2024. The employees of the company successfully formed a SCOP (Société Coopérative de Production), effectively taking ownership of the brand to ensure its legacy and production remain in France.
