Panco is a traditional Brazilian food company founded in 1952 by Kiyotateru Yonamine in the neighborhood of Vila Ré, São Paulo. The brand name is derived from the Japanese phrase "Pan-no-Koto," which translates to "matters of bread" or "about bread." Originally starting as a small family bakery, Panco has grown into one of Brazil's most recognizable brands in the bakery and snack sector.
The Panettones shown in the image are classic seasonal products manufactured by Panco in its own industrial facilities located in Brazil, primarily serving the domestic market. The company remains a family-owned enterprise, maintaining its independence and original management philosophy through the decades, avoiding acquisition by larger multinational conglomerates. Panco's portfolio has expanded significantly beyond bread to include biscuits, cakes, and snacks, while still maintaining its iconic mascot and slogan "Panco Agradece" (Panco Thanks You).
