Nestlé Coffee Crisp chocolate bar

Nestlé Coffee Crisp is a classic Canadian confectionery staple, consisting of alternating layers of vanilla wafer and coffee-flavored foamed candy, all coated in milk chocolate. Originally introduced in 1938 by Rowntree's in Canada, it was an adaptation of their UK-based 'Crisp' bar, modified specifically to cater to the Canadian palate's preference for coffee flavoring.

Today, the brand is owned by the Swiss multinational Nestlé, following their acquisition of Rowntree’s in 1988. Despite its global ownership, Coffee Crisp remains a uniquely Canadian cultural icon, with production primarily centered at the Nestlé Sterling Road factory in Toronto, Ontario. While it has seen limited distribution in other markets like the United States as a specialty import, it remains a flagship product for Nestlé Canada.
