Originally focused on olive oil trade, the brand became synonymous with high-quality Italian Mediterranean products. This specific product, Balsamic Vinegar of Modena, is produced in Italy and holds the PGI (Protected Geographical Indication) certification, ensuring it is made according to traditional methods in the Modena region.

Over the years, the brand transitioned from a family business to a global entity. In 2006, it was acquired by the Spanish food conglomerate SOS (later renamed Deoleo). Today, Carapelli is owned by Deoleo, S.A., which is headquartered in Spain. Despite the Spanish ownership, the brand maintains its Italian identity and continues to source and produce its core professional line and balsamic vinegars in Italy.
