Pantenol is an iconic skincare product originally developed and popularized in the Balkan region, specifically known as one of the flagship products of the pharmaceutical company Galenika. It is formulated with dexpanthenol (provitamin B5) and is widely used for skin regeneration, soothing irritations, and daily skin care.
Galenika was founded in 1945 in Belgrade, Serbia (then Yugoslavia), and grew to be a dominant player in the regional pharmaceutical industry. While the brand has its deep historical roots in Serbian state ownership, it underwent a significant transition in 2017 when it was acquired by the EMS Group. The product continues to be manufactured primarily in Belgrade, maintaining its legacy as a household staple in Eastern and Southern Europe.
