While the brand originated in Hong Kong, Vitasoy Australia Products Pty Ltd is a joint venture. For many years, it was a partnership between the Hong Kong-based Vitasoy International Holdings and the Australian company Bega Cheese Limited (formerly Lion-Dairy & Drinks). In early 2023, Bega Cheese transitioned its 49% stake in the joint venture to Vitasoy International, making Vitasoy International the 100% ultimate owner of the Australian operations.

The product is locally manufactured in Wodonga, Victoria, utilizing Australian-grown non-GM soybeans. This local production ensures that the brand can maintain its footprint as a domestic staple in the Australian grocery sector while being owned by a multinational corporation headquartered in Hong Kong.
