Carrier is a historic American brand founded by Willis Carrier, the inventor of modern air conditioning in 1902. While the brand is American, its hardware products, including remote controls and HVAC units, are manufactured across a global network of facilities, with significant production in China, Thailand, and Mexico.

Carrier Global Corporation became an independent, publicly traded company in 2020 after spinning off from United Technologies Corporation (UTC).
