Originally launched in 1973 by Beecham, the brand became a staple in households for its innovative combination of gel and paste. Following various corporate mergers, notably the formation of GlaxoSmithKline (GSK), the brand was eventually spun off. As of 2022, Aquafresh is part of Haleon, a global leader in consumer health that was formerly GSK's Consumer Healthcare division. While manufacturing occurs globally to meet regional demands, European supplies are often produced in large-scale facilities in Slovakia.
