In recent years, the brand's business model shifted from direct manufacturing to a licensing model. Following the liquidation of its primary operating units in 2016, the brand name is managed by GIP Development SARL. This company grants licenses to various international manufacturers to produce consumer electronics, kitchen appliances, and automotive products under the Blaupunkt name. As a result, manufacturing is distributed across multiple countries, including China and India, depending on the specific product category and the licensee holder.
