Toddy is a widely recognized brand of powdered chocolate drink with a rich history dating back to 1930. It was originally created by Pedro Erasmo Madureira in Puerto Rico, but it gained massive popularity in Brazil after being introduced there in 1933. The brand became famous for its unique taste and iconic advertising mascots, the 'Toddy Cows'.
For many decades, the brand was associated with the Quaker Oats Company. However, following global acquisitions, Toddy became part of the PepsiCo portfolio in 2001 when PepsiCo acquired Quaker Oats. Today, the product is primarily manufactured in Brazil for the local market, where it remains a household staple in the chocolate beverage category. PepsiCo, headquartered in the United States, continues to be the ultimate owner and global manager of the brand.
