The manufacturing of Senseo coffee pads takes place in various locations across Europe to serve global markets, with significant production centers in the Netherlands and France. While the machines are engineered by Philips, the coffee identity is deeply rooted in the long-standing heritage of Douwe Egberts, which dates back to 1753.

Today, the brand's coffee business is owned by JDE Peet's, a dominant global coffee and tea company. JDE Peet's was formed through various mergers, eventually bringing together the historical Dutch coffee expertise of Douwe Egberts with the American coffee culture of Peet's Coffee. The company is headquartered in the Netherlands and is majority-owned by JAB Holding Company.
