Gevalia is a prestigious coffee brand with deep roots in Swedish tradition, founded in Gävle, Sweden, in 1853 by Victor Theodor Engwall. For decades, it served as the official coffee provider to the Royal Court of Sweden, cementing its reputation for high-quality Scandinavian roasts.

Today, the brand operates under a dual-ownership structure resulting from corporate spin-offs. In North America, the Gevalia brand is owned and marketed by Kraft Heinz. In Europe and the rest of the world, it is part of the JDE Peet's portfolio. While the historical heart of manufacturing remains in Sweden at the Gävle facility, production has expanded to other global facilities to serve international markets efficiently.
