Ron Barceló rum

Ron Barceló is one of the most prestigious rum brands globally, founded in 1930 by Spanish entrepreneur Julián Barceló in Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic. The brand quickly established itself as a leader in the Caribbean spirits market, focusing on high-quality distillation and aging processes that utilize 100% sugarcane juice rather than molasses, a distinction that defines its smooth profile.

In the late 1990s and early 2000s, the brand underwent a significant corporate shift. A group of Spanish businessmen, primarily through the company Varma, partnered with the Barceló family to expand the brand internationally. This collaboration led to the formation of Ron Barceló SRL. Today, the brand is widely known for its sustainability efforts, being the first rum in the world to be certified Carbon Neutral. All production remains centered in the Dominican Republic, ensuring adherence to the 'Ron Dominicano' protected designation of origin.
