They began with a small herb merchant shop and evolved into a major Nordic producer of organic personal care and food products. The Mint & Green Tea toothpaste is part of their 'Nordic Beauty' line, which emphasizes vegan, fluoride-free, and natural ingredients.

The brand is currently owned by the Swedish company Midsona AB, which acquired Urtekram in 2015 to strengthen its position in the health and wellness sector across Europe. Production primarily remains in Denmark at their facilities in Mariager, where they maintain high standards for organic certification and sustainable manufacturing processes.
