Gösser beer

Gösser is one of Austria's best-known and most popular beer brands, with roots dating back to the 11th century at the Göss Abbey. The modern commercial brewery was established in 1860 by Max Kober in Leoben, Styria. It is famous for its Gösser Märzen and its pioneering role in the Radler market with the Gösser NaturRadler.

While the main production remains centered at the historic brewery in Leoben-Göss, Austria, the brand is part of a global portfolio, and local production for regional markets sometimes occurs under licensing or local subsidiary management. The brand is deeply tied to Austrian drinking culture and tradition.

Today, Gösser is owned by Brau Union Österreich, which is the largest brewing group in Austria. Brau Union itself is a subsidiary of Heineken N.V., a Dutch multinational brewing giant. This ownership structure places Gösser under the ultimate control of one of the world's largest beverage companies based in the Netherlands.
