Zesta crackers are a classic brand of saltine crackers, recognized for their light, flaky texture and simple flavor profile. They have long been a staple accompaniment for soups and salads in both households and food service establishments across North America.
Originally developed under the Sunshine Biscuits company in the United States, the brand became part of the Kellogg's portfolio following Kellogg's acquisition of Sunshine Biscuits in the late 1990s. In 2019, as part of a strategic realignment to focus on global snacking and cereal categories, Kellogg Company sold its cookie and fruit-flavored snack businesses, which included Zesta, to the Ferrero Group.
Today, Zesta is owned by the Ferrero Group, an Italian multinational confectionery company. While the brand remains under the operational umbrella of Ferrero's North American subsidiaries, most production continues to take place in the United States to serve the regional market.
