Originally established as a juice brand by the Multon company, it became part of the broader international beverage portfolio through acquisition. In response to the withdrawal of iconic global brands from the Russian market, the local bottling and distribution infrastructure was leveraged to transition Dobry into a full-scale soda line, including variants like Cola and Orange.

The brand is manufactured locally within Russia across several production facilities previously dedicated to international bottling operations. This shift ensured that manufacturing remained domestic, utilizing existing specialized equipment and local labor to meet regional demand for classic beverage flavors. Ownership of the Dobry brand resides with Multon Partners, which is the Russian operating subsidiary managed by Coca-Cola HBC (Hellenic Bottling Company). While the Coca-Cola Company (USA) ceased its direct corporate activities and presence in Russia, the Hellenic entity—headquartered in Switzerland—continues to oversee the regional production and commercialization of local brands like Dobry to maintain market operations. Consequently, the brand represents a localized strategic response to changing market conditions.
