OnePlus is a major Chinese electronics brand famously founded in Shenzhen in 2013 as a high-quality smartphone alternative. The OnePlus Watch, the brand's entry into the wearable market, is primarily designed and manufactured in China, utilizing the extensive electronics manufacturing infrastructure of the region. Originally established by former Oppo executives, OnePlus operates under the corporate umbrella of BBK Electronics. In recent years, OnePlus has undergone a strategic merger with its sister brand Oppo. This consolidation has integrated their research and development, supply chain, and manufacturing processes. Despite the merger, OnePlus maintains its distinct brand identity globally, while being ultimately owned by the Oppo sub-division of the BBK Group.
