Catelli is one of Canada's most recognizable pasta and sauce brands, with a history dating back to 1867 when Carlo Onorato Catelli founded the company in Montreal. The brand has become a staple in Canadian households, known for its variety of dry pastas and ready-to-use garden-style sauces like the Sélection du Jardin line.

While the brand has deep Canadian roots, its ownership has evolved through several international acquisitions. Following a period under the Spanish Ebro Foods group, the Catelli brand (including its dry pasta and sauce segments) was acquired by the Barilla Group. Today, Barilla, a world-renowned Italian food company based in Parma, Italy, serves as the ultimate owner. Despite this Italian ownership, Catelli products marketed in North America are primarily manufactured in Canada to serve the local market efficiently.
