MiWadi is Ireland's iconic fruit squash brand, known for its deep roots in Irish household culture. The brand name itself is a portmanteau derived from Mineral Waters Distributors, the company that originally produced it in Dublin. Today, it remains a staple in the Irish market, positioned as a fruit-concentrate drink meant to be diluted with water.
While the brand originated in Ireland, it has evolved through various corporate ownerships. It was part of Cantrell & Cochrane (C&C) for many years before being acquired by Britvic in 2007. Despite the shift in corporate ownership to a UK-based parent company, MiWadi continues to be produced primarily in Ireland to serve its core consumer base. It is a market leader in the Irish dilute-to-taste category, frequently launching vitamin-fortified and no-added-sugar variants.
