Hamburger Helper is a legacy brand of packaged meal kits that has become a staple of North American convenience cooking. Originally launched by General Mills in 1971 to help families cope with rising meat prices, the brand became famous for its 'Lefty' glove mascot and its ability to turn a pound of ground beef into a full meal.

In 2022, as part of a strategic portfolio reshaping, General Mills sold the brand to Eagle Family Foods Group, which is backed by the private equity firm Kelso & Company. While the brand originated under the General Mills banner in Minnesota, it is now part of the Eagle Family Foods portfolio, which focuses on various shelf-stable household food products. Manufacturing remains primarily focused in North American facilities to serve the US and Canadian markets.
