Today, the brand is owned and managed by TINE SA, a major Norwegian dairy cooperative. While the majority of Jarlsberg is produced in Norway, it is also manufactured under license in other countries, such as Ireland and the United States, to satisfy international demand. The ultimate ownership remains with the Norwegian farmers who comprise the TINE cooperative.
