Rittenhouse Rye is a storied brand in the world of American spirits, specifically known for its Pennsylvania-style (Monongahela) rye heritage. Originally produced in Philadelphia, the brand dates back to the Post-Prohibition era, where it gained a reputation for its robust spice and high quality. It remains a staple for mixologists and cocktail enthusiasts globally, particularly for its 100-proof Bottled-in-Bond expression.

Today, the brand's production has shifted to Kentucky, where it is distilled, aged, and bottled. It is currently produced at the Heaven Hill Distillery, one of the few remaining large-scale independent and family-owned distilleries in the United States. This ownership ensures that the brand maintains its traditional production methods, including the strict 1897 Bottled-in-Bond requirements which mandate that the spirit be from one distillation season, by one distiller, at one distillery, and aged for at least four years in a federally bonded warehouse.
