While the brand is deeply rooted in Austrian tradition, specifically tracing back to the Rajsigl confectionery workshop in Salzburg since 1897, the industrial production of these pralines reflects modern global supply chains.

Today, the brand is owned by Mondelez International, a global snack food powerhouse headquartered in the United States. While Mirabell is marketed as an authentic Austrian product, production often occurs in Germany at specialized facilities within the Mondelez network to meet high consumer demand. The pralines consist of a core of green pistachio marzipan, surrounded by a layer of dark and light praline cream, and finally coated in fine dark chocolate.
