7 Days is a globally recognized snack brand famously known for its packaged croissants. The brand was originally established in Greece by the company Chipita in the 1970s, revolutionizing the snack market by introducing a long-shelf-life industrial version of the classic French pastry. Over the decades, it expanded across Central and Eastern Europe, the Middle East, and beyond, becoming a household name in Slovakia and other European nations.
In 2021, the brand underwent a significant ownership change when the American multinational food conglomerate Mondelēz International announced the acquisition of Chipita. This acquisition was finalized in early 2022, placing 7 Days under the same corporate umbrella as Milka and Oreo. Today, manufacturing occurs in numerous strategically located factories across Europe, including sites in Greece, Bulgaria, Romania, and Poland, to ensure fresh distribution to regional markets. This vertical integration allows the brand to maintain its position as a dominant player in the global snack category.
