The brand was founded in 1945 by Ruth Campbell Bigelow in New York City, which began with the creation of the famous 'Constant Comment' tea. Today, Bigelow remains a family-owned and operated American company, maintaining a strong tradition of tea blending that spans three generations.

The product is primarily manufactured in the United States, with major production facilities located in Fairfield, Connecticut; Boise, Idaho; and Louisville, Kentucky.
