It was designed as a high-quality, value-driven 'house brand' to serve a wide network of retail chains across Asia, including Cold Storage, Giant, Wellcome, 7-Eleven, and Guardian. The brand covers an extensive range of over 1,700 products, spanning categories from snacks and fresh produce to household cleaning supplies and personal care items.

Manufacturing for Meadows is decentralized, following a global sourcing strategy to ensure the best quality for specific product types. For instance, their dairy and ice cream products are primarily sourced from New Zealand, potato chips are often produced in Malaysia or China using specific potato varieties, and nuts are imported from the USA. This 'sourced from around the world' model allows the brand to maintain competitive pricing while achieving international quality certifications.

The brand is ultimately owned by DFI Retail Group, which is part of the Jardine Matheson conglomerate. While the brand has a strong presence in Hong Kong and Singapore, it has recently expanded into other markets such as the Philippines through partnerships with local retailers like Robinsons Retail Holdings.
