The product features Smartcore Induction Technology, which heats the tobacco from within using a metal heating element inside the stick rather than a blade in the device.

While the brand emerged from Philip Morris International's global research and development center 'The Cube' in Switzerland, the actual manufacturing takes place across a specialized network of facilities. Major production hubs for these heated tobacco units include Italy (the Crespellano plant near Bologna), South Korea, Greece, and Romania, catering to markets across Europe and Asia.
