The Little Potato Company is a prominent North American agricultural brand specializing in creamer potatoes. Founded in 1996 by Angela Santiago and her father Jacob van der Schaaf near Edmonton, Alberta, the company was born from a desire to reintroduce the flavorful, small potatoes common in Europe to the North American market. Starting with just one acre of land, the family-run business has expanded significantly, now managing thousands of acres and operating state-of-the-art facilities.
Today, the brand remains a family-owned Canadian enterprise headquartered in Edmonton. While its roots and primary manufacturing and packing facilities are located in Alberta and Prince Edward Island, Canada, it has expanded its operations to include production facilities in the United States, such as in DeForest, Wisconsin. This allows the company to serve over 20,000 retail locations across both countries while maintaining its commitment to consistent quality, nutrition, and sustainability in every bag.
