Sakara Gold is a prominent Egyptian lager brand, recognized for its light, refreshing taste tailored for warm climates. The brand is deeply rooted in Egypt's modern brewing history, which dates back to the late 19th century. It is produced by the Al Ahram Beverages Company (ABC), which traces its origins to the Crown Brewery founded in 1897 in Alexandria and the Pyramid Brewery in Giza.

The manufacturing process primarily takes place at Al Ahram's facilities in Obour City, Egypt. Over the decades, the producer underwent significant transformations, including nationalization in the 1960s and subsequent privatization in the 1990s.

In 2002, the Al Ahram Beverages Company was acquired by the Heineken Group, making the Dutch multinational the ultimate owner of the Sakara brand. Today, Sakara remains a staple of the Egyptian beverage market, benefiting from Heineken's global quality standards while maintaining its distinct local identity.
