Eduscho is a historic German coffee brand with roots dating back to 1924, founded by Eduard Schopf in Bremen. It originally gained fame as a pioneer in direct-to-consumer coffee mail-order services before becoming a staple in German coffee shops and supermarkets. The brand is celebrated for its traditional roasting methods and its legacy within the Central European coffee culture.
In 1997, Eduscho was acquired by the Tchibo Group, another prominent German coffee giant. This acquisition consolidated two of the most significant names in the German coffee market. Today, Eduscho operates as a key premium brand within the Tchibo portfolio, benefiting from their extensive global supply chain and roasting facilities located across Europe. While the brand remains deeply German in identity, the coffee beans are sourced from major coffee-growing regions such as Brazil, Vietnam, and Ethiopia, and processed in various Tchibo roasting plants depending on the specific market demand.
