Clausthaler is a pioneer in the non-alcoholic beer category, originally developed in Germany during the 1970s. It was the first brand to focus exclusively on brewing beer without alcohol while maintaining the traditional taste profile of a lager. The Clausthaler Grapefruit variant is a popular radler-style beverage that blends their signature non-alcoholic beer with natural grapefruit juice for a crisp and fruity finish.
The brand is owned by the Radeberger Gruppe, which is Germany's largest private brewing group. Radeberger itself is a division of the Oetker Group (Dr. August Oetker KG), a massive family-owned conglomerate headquartered in Bielefeld, Germany. In Norway, as indicated by the "2 KR PANT" deposit symbol on the can, the product is widely distributed through retail partnerships, often associated with Hansa Borg Bryggerier as the local distributor. The product continues to be brewed primarily in Germany adhering to strict German purity laws.
