Homepride is an iconic British food brand, best known for its range of cooking sauces and its mascot, Fred the Flour Man. Originally launched in 1964 as a pre-packaged flour brand by Spillers, it expanded into the cooking sauce market in the 1970s, which eventually became its primary focus.
Today, the brand is owned by Premier Foods, one of the largest food manufacturers in the United Kingdom. While the flour division of Homepride was sold to Kerry Group (and later to Whitworths), the cooking sauces and dry meal kits remained with Premier Foods. Most Homepride sauces continue to be manufactured at Premier Foods' production facilities within the UK, maintaining its heritage as a staple of British kitchens.
